JADE ALASKA is the musical tale of a teenage girl who feels responsible for the death of her brother five years earlier. In connecting with a new classmate who understands loss, Jade beginsto come to terms with a past she cannot alter. She uses the art of storytelling itself to not just accept but also embrace the mysteries of life and death. Loosely inspired by the Hindu myth of Sampati and Jatayu, JADE ALASKA explores the strength of sibling bonds and the beauty of
friendship and forgiveness.
